Good afternoon church family,
I hope today finds you well and that you are finding time to reflect on the Lord’s goodness in your life. I am looking forward to our time together tomorrow!
We will gather at 9:30am for prayer and at 10:45am for worship service tomorrow. Our focus Bible passage is Revelation 14:14-20. We will be looking at the two-fold harvest of Christ. For those of us who are in Christ, we have a wonderful future to look forward to. For those who don’t know Jesus, He wants them to turn to Him and be saved. Our future truly hinges upon whether or not Christ is our Lord. May we all walk in His grace and peace.
By now I’m sure you are all aware of the terrible fires raging out of control in California. Our hearts and prayers go out to the people of Los Angeles County and the surrounding areas. May the Lord bring relief. May He bring peace to the grieving. May He strengthen the first responders, soldiers, and local churches who are working there to help people. God often uses dark times to draw people to Himself. I pray that this darkness will be followed by a season of revival, of many turning to the Lord and finding true peace in Him.
May your Saturday afternoon and evening be blessed. Christ is our true and better sabbath rest. We can be at rest because we are in Him. Though our world is filled with much evil and darkness, all who wait on the Lord have everlasting life in Him. That’s you and me so let’s hold fast together to our faith and hope.
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
Psalms 37:7-9, “Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and abandon wrath; Do not get upset; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be eliminated, But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.”
