NCF Update 03/01/25

Good afternoon friends,

Tomorrow is the Lord’s day which means we have the blessing of gathering together in His holy name and for the mutual benefit of one another.  Let us prepare our hearts today for what the Lord may want to do as we gather. Our gathering is indeed a sacred endeavor, and Christ is with us in it to bring us to maturity in Him.

Tomorrow we will gather at 9:30 a.m. for prayer and at 10:45 a.m. for worship as is our usual habit. We have the blessing of having our friend Sean Larkin with us tomorrow. He is a wonderful teacher of God’s word as well as a good representative of walking steadfast in the way of Christ. I’m thrilled to have him with us and I know we will be blessed by what he brings to us tomorrow. Come join us, and be encouraged to invite your friends and family members who do not have a church family which they are connected to. You never know whether they might come unless you ask. The Lord is with you.

On this coming Wednesday Sean Larkin will lead our Ash Wednesday service. Join us from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening for this special time of prayer and preparation for the Lent/Easter season.

On Saturday March 8th Sean will be leading a men’s meeting at Serve at 8:30 a.m. We hope that the men and boys in the church will make plans to join us. We will be having sausage biscuits and breakfast burritos from Braums. Our fellowship during these times is always good, and it is critically important for us as men to be built up together that we might be prepared to lead our church and our homes.

On Saturday April 5th from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the women of NCF will be having a Tea event with special guest Jodi Strum. For questions relating to this event, please contact Debbie ONeal.

May the grace and peace of the Lord rest on you as you walk through this Saturday. May you find time to rest in His presence and reflect on his goodness towards you. The Lord has called you and has done everything necessary to bring you into His kingdom as his dearly loved children. May He give you fresh vision for what it looks like to walk worthy of His calling. I love and appreciate you all!

In His steps,

Pastor Nick

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 CSB — “As you know, like a father with his own children, we encouraged, comforted, and implored each one of you to walk worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.”

P.S. Pray for me tomorrow as I have the opportunity to fill the pulpit and minister in one of our sister churches in Bethany, a church that is interested in potentially growing closer with us as partners in God’s kingdom work for our community. I will be with you for prayer and then will head over there to preach. I will fill you all in on details about what the Lord may be doing with this growing friendship soon. Peace be with you all, and I hope to see you at prayer in the morning.
