Good afternoon church family,
I wanted to take a moment to remind you about a couple of things going on in our church community this week.
First, today is Ash Wednesday. We will be having an Ash Wednesday service tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Serve. I want to encourage you to come and participate. There is of course no pressure to fast if you don’t sense the Lord leading you to do so. The fast is completely voluntary. We do not operate on the basis of the old legalism of the law, but rather of the grace which we have in Jesus. If you do sense the Lord leading you to join many of us in fasting, I know that there is something very powerful about corporate fasting and prayer. We have many wonderful things going on in and around our church community. I know that it is very good for us to be in pursuit of the Lord together. He is good to us, and kind to reveal His will. Whether you plan to fast or not, the service is for all of us and will be a wonderful way to prepare our hearts for the Easter season.
Second, on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. we will have a men’s breakfast and a time of fellowship and equipping with Sean Larkin. I would encourage all of the men and boys to come and be a part of this. These fellowships are important times for us as men to grow in the Lord together, and to equip one another for leading our homes and to be the best husbands, fathers, sons, and citizens of Christ’s kingdom which we can be in Him. I look forward to our time together.
May the grace in peace of the Lord rest on each one of us today as we wade through the responsibilities of work, school, home, and etc. Each one of you is dearly Loved by our Father in heaven, and you are loved by this pastor too.
In His steps,
Pastor Nick
