NCF Update 03/15/25

Good afternoon church family,

May the grace and peace of the Lord abound in you today. Hopefully no one had any major issues from the wind storm yesterday, but if you did please let me know. We will help however we can.

Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day which means we are blessed to gather together as His church to worship Him and to build one another up in His name. What a grace the Lord has given us! We will gather at 9:30am for prayer and at 10:45am for our worship service. I look forward to being with you tomorrow!

Our focus Bible passage for tomorrow is Revelation 16. The Lord is surely going to judge this world, but His church will stand victorious through it all. May the Lord use our time together to prepare us to live boldly as His holy people standing in stark contrast to the corruption of this world in Adam. Christ’s solution to a fallen world is a church filled with saints who are crucified with Him and raised to new life in His name. That’s us!

I encourage everyone to take some time this afternoon or evening to prepare your heart for what the Lord wants to do in our gathering tomorrow. We would all benefit from praying for ourselves and praying for one another. A church prepared in prayer is a church more primed for the Lord’s work. Last Sunday was wonderful even though there was a lot of spiritual warfare going on before the service. The enemy is not excited about what God is doing in our church, but the last time I checked Jesus said that the gates of hell could not prevail against His church. We are on the winning side! The best way to resist the enemy is to lean into Christ, and that’s what I’m asking all of us to do together. We will resist the devil and we will see God move in and through us. I am certain of His victory and I am certain of His dedication to bring us into His fullness. May we come to the gathering focused in prayer and ready for the ministry the Lord intends to do among us.

Our dear friend and sister Ann McMillan lost her brother this past week. Would you join me in praying for her and for her family? I am confident that the Lord is with her and that He cares about them. May He wash over them with His presence and a strong sense of His mercy and love.

I’m thankful for you all. You are dearly loved by the Lord and by me too. See you in the morning!

In His steps,

Pastor Nick
