NCF Update 11/30/24

Good afternoon church family,

I hope that you have all had a good Thanksgiving week. Somehow we have already reached the final day of November. A new month begins in the morning and with that new month comes the Advent season. We make an effort to remember Christ at all times; His coming, His living, His dying, and His rising that we might live redeemed lives in Him. This season is special for us. The world around us may think of Christ little, but now finds itself considering Christ much. We are the bearers of the good word from the Lord about Christ. May we honor Him well as we enter into the Christmas season, and may those around us hear of His wonders from our mouths and see His goodness put on display by our hands.

Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day! I look forward to our time together. Our focus passage for this first week in the Christmas season is Luke 21:25-33. Christ came as a humble child in order to redeem and restore a broken world, and soon He will come again to usher in everything He intends to bring about in our world. We are blessed to be His children and to have a place in His coming kingdom!

A few of things to keep in mind…

On Friday December 6th we will be participating in the Bethany Hometown Christmas event from 5pm-8pm. Serve will be open and we would love to have you join us.

Our church Christmas party will be December 15th after church and our NCF Candlelight Service will be on the evening of December 22nd.

May the grace and peace of the Lord rest upon you as you rest in Him today. I am thankful for all of you and I look forward to being with you in the morning. We will have prayer at 9:30am and worship at 10:45am as usual. May the Lord prepare our hearts to receive from Him tomorrow morning and to minister to one another.

In His steps,

Pastor Nick

Luke 21:28, “Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
