NCF Update 12/28/24

Good afternoon friends,

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Tomorrow is the official first Sunday of Christmas in the church calendar, and with that we are planning a carol sing in the morning at 9:30am. Come and enjoy singing traditional Christmas songs as we continue our celebration of Christ’s coming to restore us to the Father.

Our worship service will begin at 10:45am as usual. Pastor Dwight will be sharing with us tomorrow about how the stories of Christmas show us that “all things are possible with God” in His time and will. Come ready to be encouraged by the wonder of Christmas!

May the grace and peace of Christ rest on you this day. May your heart be fully at rest in Him who is your true and forever Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4). Out of darkness Christ’s light shines, and out of what seems to be hopelessness He remains always true. The Gospel teaches us that God ever has an answer to sin and the desolation it brings… He is the answer! As Jeremiah prophesied,

“Thus says the Lord: ‘A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.’ Thus says the Lord: ‘Keep your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears, for there is a reward for your work, declares the Lord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope for your future, declares the Lord, and your children shall come back to their own country.'” -Jeremiah 31:15-17

I love you friends! I’m thankful for you and I am praying for you this afternoon.

In His steps,

Pastor Nick
